Your home is every single place where you know how to protest.
June is marked by Jupiter’s ingress into Cancer. Jupiter last transited Cancer between the summer of 2013 to the summer of 2014. Do you remember that time? That was twelve years ago.
I’ll share a bit of what I was going through back then. I got my first full time job, a sales job in luxury. I was like one of those employees that you see working in The White Lotus. I was paid $40k to hawk luxury cell phones to some very wealthy individuals. To a twenty one year old, a $40k salary was a lot of money. The cell phones were untrackable and priced between $3000 to $100,000. The only people buying them were Chinese government officials, Russian oligarchs, Saudi princes, and American weapons dealers. Most of my coworkers were working class men of color in New York City. Working in that place, I thought a lot about what it meant to live in New York City, America.
New York is such a port. One time, a young Chinese woman came through the store. My boss, Richard, the guy who taught me everything he knew about sales, was from Trinidad. He looked at me as that girl walked out of the store and said, “That girl’s family owns half of the island of Trinidad.” Then, he went to the back of the store to pour himself a drink. Richard was a Capricorn and a dad.
At the same time, I was a part of a student organizing group that formed during the eve of the Occupy Wall Street movement. We protested student debt by camping out in our school president’s office for months. In the encampment, we talked about horizontal structure building and learned about the history of protest. That was how I spent my nights. A lot of the time, we killed time by making art. The student occupation became my home.
Jupiter is about power. Cancer is the zodiac sign that exalts Jupiter.
Yup. I was confronting power a lot. I was meeting a lot of powerful people—student organizers and weapons dealers.
I feel like that year was a full on course about New York as a cultural capital. There was the people power. There was also the geopolitical storefront. That year, I found myself face to face with my own doubts about power. I felt repulsed by the industry where I had found work but I had all kinds of doubts about student activism too. I felt a lot of doubt about New York as my home, about what it meant to live there and to work there.
Did you know that home is your greatest power?
Your home is your greatest power. When you lose your home, you lose a substantial chunk of your power.
There’s that clip of John Trudell talking about Tina Manning in the documentary about his work and his life. He says that a lot of people think that the feds killed Tina Manning because she was married to him and he’s famous. He says that isn’t true and that she was always the more powerful organizer because she organized people at home. Trudell traveled around. Manning visited people at home and in the place where people knew her. That was the bigger threat and that was why the FBI targeted her the way they did.
What power are you shaping by living in your home? What power are you confronting in the place that you call home? How are you making a living?
I think that people often underestimate Cancer and homemaking. Homemaking is huge. Your lifestyle and the habits and actions that you take out of daily comfort are hugely impactful. In fact, those actions build a lot more than spontaneous action. What forms of power are you shaping using your everyday lifestyle actions? Some people call this biopolitics I think. Power isn’t some extraordinary bogeyman that’s out there. Power is ordinary. It’s shaped by our everyday, ordinary actions.
The reason why me and the other student protestors could make so much art and stay so long at the encampment was because we could live there without paying rent. I learned that protest can grow really big when it gives people a way to live.
I eventually quit that sales job after working it for a little under a year. After I quit that job, I struggled for a time but I found work teaching art a few years later. I stayed at the student encampment until it came to an end. That was after graduation.
I think that living at a protest site taught me a lot. It taught me a lot about the extraordinary power of home. I think that working in a tourist economy also taught me a lot about what it meant to be at home.
Your home is more than just a house plus some trees. Your home is the way you live. It’s your community. It’s your proximity and it’s your connection to land. Your home is everything that you know. It’s your history that you build your life on. That’s your whole power. Your home is the entirety of your power.
Your home is also an apartment lease. It’s the work that you do everyday just to pay the rent. It’s the fights that you get with your roommates because everyone is going through multiple crises on account of trying to keep up with the rent. It’s the unexpected ways that people show up for you when they can.
Your home is every single place where you know how to protest. That’s your home. Where is the place that taught you how to protest?
Gemini June 2025 Horoscope
June is about resource building. Let’s get you fed.
First of all, you will need to do this for yourself and in recognition of your own needs. It doesn’t matter if you are in a partnership and one of you thinks that you should take on the responsibility of providing for the other person. It doesn’t matter if one of you makes more money. Both of you are responsible for building resources together—food, medicine, and clothes.
When someone stops taking care of their own needs, when a person stops providing for themself, whether that comes because they are overtending or because they lose financial control, that person is going to experience some level of neglect. No one is responsible for rescuing another person. No one loses their right to assert themselves because someone else is taking care of bills. Money does not become morally better when you spend it taking care of someone else’s needs versus your own.
You build resources together with people. Everyone is responsible for some aspect of resource building and resource using. Everyone you live with is responsible for knowing what they need. Then, you start scheming together. You can’t plan if you don’t know what you need.
An exalted Jupiter is coming into your house of resources. Know the difference between rescuing and generosity. Let people take care of you if you trust those people. Make a plan. All resources, whether that be food or money, need to be used. You’ll know what you’re doing if you have a plan.

June is about trusting yourself. I find that a lot of our anxieties have to do with doubting ourselves.
We doubt our own motives. That keeps us from getting politically involved and participating in community action. We doubt our own creativity. That keeps us from asserting ourselves and keeps us playing by everyone else’s rules. We doubt our own right to exist and that makes us worry that we won’t have enough time to live our lives.
You have enough time to live. You invent yourself all the time. You are doing a good job and you have known how to be a good person ever since you were a child.
Trust yourself. Ask people to make room for you. Pretend for a moment that all of your existential doubts are just doubts. Pretend that one lifetime is good enough for you and that you will do all of the things that one could possibly learn to desire within that lifetime. Because, remember—you learn your desires. You have enough time to learn all of the desires that you need.
And believe your body. Your body will tell you when you are done. It will tell you when you are hungry. If you body gives you information, believe it. Once you believe yourself enough times, then you won’t need to pretend that your life is good enough. You’ll remember it.

Leo June 2025 Horoscope
Did you know that you live and walk amongst so many different responsibilities that aren’t for you to take on? That most of the responsibilities in this world are for other people and not you because, out of a population of 7 billion, you’re just one person? Think of all of the people you know. Now, think of all of the things that we can do together. Add your piece to the weight of the collective responsibility that you feel when you think about all the people you love. There it is. That’s your piece.
You tend to take on a lot because you’re the beautifully shining sun. But Jupiter comes into your house of loose imagination. Jupiter is going to help you dream.
June is about loving your solitude, about truly enjoying it. People who love solitude a little too much tend to be a little irresponsible because we are used to being on our own. June is about letting yourself be lazy. When was the last time you identified with the word lazy and felt so much disgusting bliss about it that you almost made yourself sick? Laziness is a bliss. They call it lazy Sunday for a reason. Laziness is how you worship time.
So, I’m asking you to worship time now that you’re welcoming this exalted Jupiter in your most Saturnian house. Let yourself indulge in just how much time you have. Do things lazily. Meander. Be easy with yourself. Spend way too much time thinking about just one thing as though you’ve got all the time in the world. Drag your feet. Let yourself be lazy.
Questions for Leo for June 2025:
What does laziness give you permission to do?
What does laziness give you permission to not do?
What is the best day of the week for laziness?
Virgo June 2025 Horoscope
You want to be involved in something greater than yourself right now. Maybe you’ve always wanted that in a way. Exalted Jupiter is coming into your eleventh house of big movements and this is precisely the house where Jupiter experiences the most joy. That’s a really nice Jupiter transit.
I’m going to give you a little advice here. I don’t usually give advice in these horoscope columns but I’m going to do it here because I have certain thoughts about organizing and activism groups based on my experience that I feel like I should share. If you’re getting involved with a group with a vision, then know why you’re joining the group. Don’t join a group purely based on hope.
When it comes to political action, hope almost always disappoints. Why? Because hope is shallow. Hope is just a thought. For groups to come together, you’re going to meet pushback and you’re going to deal with interpersonal conflict and guess what? The group is going to disappoint you. You are going to disappoint yourself because you’re learning and making mistakes all the time. If you just have hope, then disappointment stops your participation. You need something more than just hope. You need real relationships, determination, or material help. Anything besides just hope—even religion will do.
And with that, go be you. You’re going to have a great year. You’re going to find beautiful friendships that give and give. You’re going to do things that impress the hell out of people and yourself. Go and be victorious.
Questions for Virgo for June 2025:
What do you hope for from big movements?
What keeps you connected beyond hope?
What makes you powerful?
Libra June 2025 Horoscope
Never lose sight of your purpose. June kicks off an exalted Jupiter transit through your tenth house of action and impact. Jupiter is going to make you confront what you define as success. It can bring success and promotions to you. Jupiter can also give you a lot of work.
Why do you work? What are the reasons that you think are behind you and what are the actual emotions that come to you when you are going to work, when you are working, and when you are leaving work? How do your emotions change throughout a given workday and what does that tell you about your expectations about work?
What is the weight of all of your work? Work costs you something. We often think about working as the thing that gets us paid but it also costs us something. What is the weight of your work and the prayers that you put into the act of working?
Work is half prayer and half habit. You rise up to your prayer but you fall back to your habits. That’s work. It’s that constant rising and falling, just back and forth all the time everyday. What do you pray for when you finish your work? What habits bring you back?
Questions for Libra for June 2025:
Why do you work?
What does work cost you?
What do you pray for when you go back to work?
Scorpio June 2025 Horoscope
June is about lightening your load. The older we get, the more we accumulate. I’m not just talking about ideas and experiences. I’m talking about stuff. We accumulate papers. We accumulate special objects. We accumulate a lot of memories and a lot of ideas about who we are and who we are not.
It’s time to let some of those things go. You can give some of your things away. That screen printing kit that you got for $20 at Michaels ten years ago that you never opened? Give it away. Someone will use it. That pile of books that you liked the idea of reading that you know that you’ll never read because they’re not the books that you’re interested in looking at? Give them to someone who will read them and tell you about them. The shirt that your mom got you for your birthday that you don’t really like? Give it away or make something new using it.
You don’t have to be everything that you ever thought about trying. You don’t have to follow every single plan. You have potential that you’ve put into these unfinished projects that are just sitting around you that you can use if you disenchant yourself. Break the spell.
When I was little, I had a fantasy about being a professional scientist. Now that I’m older, I found that wasn’t the life for me. We have fantasies about who we could be but, to live in reality, we have to choose our pursuits. Our fantasies don’t control our lives. We do. Save your energy for the things that you’re actually going to do. Get rid of the talismans that bind you to the paths that you no longer desire.
Questions for Scorpio for June 2025:
What dreams have taught you about your potential because you actually went out and pursued them?
What dreams have taught you about your potential because you weren’t meant to try and pursue them?
What are the dreams that feel real to you still?
Sagittarius June 2025 Horoscope
You’re someone who likes to give and give. Are you giving because you have or are you giving because you need? Jupiter is going to help you help other people in June. I don’t know if this is you but it will also show you what happens if you become a little too reliant on another person’s neediness.
Neediness is actually such a treasure because neediness gives us a purpose for coming together. We need each other. It’s as simple as that. Because Jupiter exalts in your eighth house of shared resources, you tend to situate yourself around other people’s needs. You like to give your time, your insights, and your stuff. You might not even think about it. That’s why entire ecosystems of friend groups gather around you, because you are like a big leg that feels great to grab.
And sometimes? We give because we need. We need time, love, and attention. We need practical and material help. We need to feel needed. Sometimes, generosity is an indirect expression of needing. That’s also what it means to have an eighth house that exalts Jupiter.
If all of this talk about neediness puts you off, then try and figure out why. You have enough empathy with yourself to do that. Be gentle. You’ve always been a good friend. What is it like when someone else takes care of you too?
Questions for Sagittarius for June 2025:
What relationship habits are you done with?
What needs to happen before you feel safe enough to express a need?
What is the difference between generosity and trying to rescue someone?
Capricorn June 2025 Horoscope
In June, I want you to think about safety and other people. Who do you feel safe around and what happened to get you there?
I think that we sometimes romanticize safety. We imagine it like a beacon, like something that invites us in from somewhere else precisely when we are imagining shipwreck. But real safety usually doesn’t come from somewhere out there and out of the blue like that. Real safety isn’t fabricated. It can’t be put on. It’s just the everyday habits that we build amidst other people by living our lives.
We build safety and we forget about it. Safety is the mundane backdrop to our most stable relationships that we literally just forget about because the point is to take it for granted. Safety should be a baseline so we treat it as one. It’s not something that we go searching for out there. It’s something that we realize we already have. We tend to realize where we have safety when we feel unsafe, because we seek refuge in the places that are most familiar to us.
Your safety isn’t out there somewhere waiting for you. Your safety is with you in your bones. You find it with the people who already know you and who you already know. You will find safety when you look for it at home. Take a close look at everything you take for granted. Thank god you can take safety for granted at least sometimes.
Questions for Capricorn for June 2025:
What is one old friendship that reminds you of safety?
What is one old place that reminds you of safety?
What is one old habit that reminds you of safety?
Aquarius June 2025 Horoscope
You gotta take your craft seriously. I know, I know. An Aquarius is something who is extremely dedicated to your task at hand. But that’s just what I’m talking about. You’re extremely dedicated to the task at hand but you’re always responding to invitations. You’ve been allowing the work that you are doing in this world to be shaped so much by the demands of the people in your life.
To take work seriously, you have to know when it starts and when it ends. Your work isn’t for everyone in the whole wide world. You have a specific practice, a specific skill and you have learned to turn those specific skills into a very precise craft. Who is your work for? Who is it not for?
You’re generous with your labor. Stop saying yes to everything that everyone asks of you. People will ask you all kinds of things but you have to shape the trajectory of your craft. Because it is your physical energy that is powering the practice. Your work isn’t shaped by every single random invitation that someone who knows you might think up. Your practice is not shaped by other people’s fantasies about who you are. Your work is shaped by how you do things. It’s formed out of your physical energy.
So, say no to things that make you feel tired. Say yes to things that give you more energy. Try that for a bit until you start to find your vision. When you find a vision, hold onto it for a moment and try your best to break it. Do that because what you do isn’t dependent on your own fantasies either. What you do is what you do. You have to break your illusions so that you can understand your energy.
Questions for Aquarius for June 2025:
When was the last time you felt safe enough to say no to work that someone asked from you?
How did you say no?
What became clearer when you did?

This June, I want you to throw a party that will nourish your soul. I think that you know what I’m talking about.
I’m talking about the block parties where you get to see your aunties and uncles eat. I’m talking about roleplaying game parties where you genuinely have fun with familiar people. I’m talking about big feasts, about poker nights as a tradition, and about dancing. I’m talking about parties that bring a community together. No industry, no hookup culture, and no networking. Just getting together for a good time.
What kinds of gatherings would nourish your soul? Good food is a requirement, enough so that no one feels stingy about sharing. This is a place where you share inside jokes and look good. I’m talking about a place where you get to see everyone.
Parties create so much potential because you get all kinds of ideas from talking with people, because people can vend a little to share their craft or their food. Oh, yes—pride month will be happening as exalted Jupiter moves into your fifth house of fun and pleasure. So that helps.
Throw a party. Make it safe. That’s a requirement to having fun. Parties nourish you so you have to protect the source of your nurture. Go out and see gay people. Be yourself.
Questions for Pisces for June 2025:
What kinds of gatherings nourish your soul?
What made you feel safe at those gatherings?
How do you keep building on that?
Aries June 2025 Horoscope
I used to live in so much fear about losing my momentum. I thought that if I stopped moving as fast as possible, that I would lose my whole identity and that I would stop learning and growing. I thought that stillness equated to depression. But then, I did stop. I had to because I got burned out. Guess what? I didn’t lose my whole personality. I didn’t lose my curiosity. Losing the momentum that I had in the past meant that I could slow down and evaluate, that I could prepare for something new.
June brings in a period of time that will ask you for more stillness. You’ve been driven. You’ve had this momentum that has propelled you for the last five or six years. It’s time to slow down because no single aim will ever have the power to dictate the entire trajectory of your life. You’re much more complex than that. You live longer than the duration of a single goal.
You’re not going to get stuck. You’re going to enjoy rest. You’re going to let yourself get bored because only boredom can give you the mental space that you need before your mind is ready to latch onto new stuff. And, in June, your past is going to be your greatest teacher. Not your future but your past.
So, rest. Look back on time when you’re ready to do so. No, don’t cringe at your past self. You’ve done all of this work and it’s time to appreciate it in the full. You’re going to take in the good feedback and the critical. You’re going to build more depth because your life isn’t just about moving forward but about moving deeper in. You need encouragement and analysis to build that depth.
Questions for Aries for June 2025:
What helps you laugh joyfully at your past self?
What does that goofiness help you make room for?
What reminds you of your depth?
Taurus June 2025 Horoscope
Part of why you are such a fantastic teacher is because you know that teaching is about connection. You will learn about something when you feel connected to a person, a history, or a vision in a way that sticks to your heart. You know that teaching isn’t some kind of job or title that you can apply for and get. It’s just something that you do in all aspects of life because you’re always connecting the dots or connecting people to themselves.
In June, you’re going to indulge in connection. You’re going to have epiphanies and grand designs and you’re going to dream. You’re going to dream in the way that you have always dreamed, which is with other people in collaboration and intimacy.
This is about storytelling. The first thing you’re going to do is you’re going to take a look over all of your stuff and you’re going to choose the things that are still yours. Then, you’re going to let go of the things that are no longer yours. You’re not starting from a blank sheet of paper here. That’s why you’re going to start with editing.
What is the story that you tell yourself about who you are and what does this story lead you to learn? That’s the sticky mess of connection that you’re working with here. Edit and collect. That’s all storytelling is. That’s all teaching needs to be.
Questions for Taurus for June 2025:
What are you hanging onto that is no longer yours?
What is the story that you tell about yourself today?
What does that story connect you to?
