November 2025 Horoscopes

Where is your church? Where is your place to share food and clothes?

When I was seven years old, a little white girl in my daycare hit me on the head with a rock that was the same size as my head. My parents, being new immigrants, freaked out and took me to the ER. That was a mistake.

The doctor charged us what was around half of our savings ($300) at that point for pretty much nothing. He took a look at me and wiped down the cut on my head with a wet wipe. The entire visit happened in just under a minute. That year, our meals became scarce. I would go to the grocery store with my mom on the bus and watch her count down the dollar bills that were supposed to last us for the week. That was the last time we visited the hospital for anything.

I tell this story because Scorpio season completes the harvest season. The cold comes and the growing season is done. You have hunted your big game and have prepared the meat that you need for the winter. You must now tally up what you have completed for the year and think ahead. That is the energy of Scorpio. Taking stock and planning ahead.

I also tell this story because I think of it as a kind of early childhood lesson on how to survive in America. There’s something about navigating a mixture of racial violence, high health care related costs, and food insecurity that actually makes me feel weirdly nostalgic because these problems remind me of the home that I am used to dealing with. Before I moved here, I saw America as the place where no one starved. In the past, America viewed agricultural overproduction as a keystone of its national pride (of course, Monsanto is also a weapons manufacturer in addition to being an agrochemical producer). Today, as food stamps get cut and as farmers and ranchers get cut out of the global economy, American policy appears to be pursuing new ways to meet the same ends.

Scorpio season: You plan ahead and then you give or receive accordingly. Sagittarius season: You see how much you have and then you share. That’s November, the change between Scorpio and Sagittarius. If Scorpio season is about figuring out what you still need, then Sagittarius season is the season of making sure that everyone has enough.

Growing up, we would always go to church more as the holidays approached. At church, people would share food and clothes and help each other navigate social problems. I think that might be why Sagittarius has such a strong reputation for faith and spiritual beliefs. However, religion doesn’t have a monopoly on mutual aid. Any gathering place, a library or a park, might be your church. Any gathering place might be the place where you believe in people and share.

Where is your church? Where is your place to share food and clothes?

Sagittarius season starts in November. Sagittarius season is usually known as the beginning of Mariah Carey season, the big splurge during which we think about what we want to give our friends, our acquaintances, and everyone we know. But the spirit of Sagittarius season is not really about retail.

Sagittarius is just gift culture. Gift culture isn’t about shopping. It’s about teaching.

This year, Sagittarius season starts with a very fast moving Mars. Sagittarius season is led by a retrograde Jupiter in the sign of its exaltation. Since Jupiter and Saturn are both in water signs right now, one retrogrades while the other goes direct in the same month.

This year, don’t shop for gifts. Think about the purpose of gift culture instead and make the choice that is needed instead. Think about the rules that you know about how to share. Those rules are a guidebook on how to use your power. Consider taking in addition to giving and receiving. Think about the skills that you have around giving, around receiving, and around teaching. How are each of those skills different and what social codes are embedded in those skills?

Stores are not your church. Neither is social media. Where is the place where you gather and share? Where is the place where you teach?

Scorpio November 2025 Horoscope

November amplifies your ability to organize groups of people around resources. Oftentimes, you’re the friend who’s always getting a sense of what people need and handing things out to everyone. “Who needs water?” you ask on a car ride with multiple people. You boost your friend’s community ask about where they can find a bike. You relentlessly send your friends resources for healthcare, employment, and free stuff.

In November, you might be doing a lot of that and very fast. You will organize a big pile of resources and direct that pile of resources around to people who need stuff. By doing this, you will provide for a number of people.

Since the Sun and Mars are coming together in the skies right now, I want you to think about how to organize the resources that you gather collectivity to build future power. How do you turn a bunch of artists forwarding each other opportunities to a collective group? How do you transform a bunch of separate fundraisers into one mass demand? You have some skills around gathering resources and sharing. You can think about the long game.

Sagittarius November 2025 Horoscope

I went to a workshop the other day where a community organizer by the name of Yvette Davis taught us about the difference between change and transformation. She told us that change is just the first step of transformation. Change can be enacted through policy or law but transformation is about a different culture and understanding of where we are at.

I’d like you to keep this little piece of wisdom in mind as your ruling planet, Jupiter, looks backwards in November.

As a Sagittarius, you embrace change. You love it. I think that I can always pick out a Sagittarius from a crowd by looking for the person whose eyes twinkle with curiosity for a truth that never sits still. Life is like a page turner for you. What comes next? What will happen now? Whatever it is, you’re ready. But, starting this month and just for a bit, Jupiter retrogrades. I want you to look at the changes that you have already faced in 2025, at the ways that you have changed, and to ask yourself the question of destiny.

Destiny is different from change. Destiny is about accepting the way that your recollection of the past has changed due to the actions that you make in the present. What is changing about the way you experience time? What has changed about the way that you tell the story of your past? What do you agree with other people about in terms of what happened in the past?

Questions for Sagittarius for November 2025:
What is changing about the way you experience time?
What has changed about the way that you tell the story of your past?
What do you agree with other people about in terms of what happened in the past?

Capricorn November 2025 Horoscope

There is something about your overall demeanor that makes people believe you to be the strong and silent type. That’s why you, based on how people usually treat you, do have a tendency to underestimate your need for intimate relationships and grounded friendships. But actually? You spend so much time thinking about your sweeties, every single one of them.

You love to provide. And yet? You’d like your friends to take responsibility for things not before you or after you but alongside you. You love to invite people in but you’d also like people to invite you in sometime, not because you’re tired of making the effort but because you love to be wanted just as much as the next person. You’d like someone to offer you help when they see you struggling so that you don’t have to ask—not every time. Just once in a while.

I have a truism about boundary setting. Only half of boundary setting is about knowing what we aren’t willing to do and what we won’t engage with. The other half of boundary setting is done by defining what you are looking for and seeking that out.

Too many of us learned to confuse connection with submission as children. Dear Capricorn, I’d like you to set boundaries this November. I’d like you to do so by describing what you want and asking for it.

Questions for Capricorn for November 2025:
What are you hoping for in your friendships?
What have you been waiting for in your heart?
What have you found in your voice?

Aquarius November 2025 Horoscope

I think that starting this November and into next year, you will be moving through a recurring assessment of how you define your work. So, I’d like to give you a couple questions to chew on: What do you intend to do? What keeps your work sustainable? What keeps your work productive?

And, lastly: What makes your work legible to the people who you go to work for? Not your employer but the people who you think of when you show up to work, the people you feed with your paycheck and the people who you service with your hands.

If you haven’t noticed, there’s usually a big mismatch between what people in a community seem to need and who is hiring. Too many of us define our work using titles or certifications or what we can buy. Too little of us define our work based on what we know how to do and what we aim to do.

I want you to start rethinking your work, Aquarius. I know that you tend to be a workaholic so I ask you to lend yourself a bit of compassion here. Ask yourself what you know how to do. Give yourself a little credit for the skills that you have. Then, think about what you are trying to learn. I promise you that this will help you out as you navigate the dilemmas of productive labor.

Questions for Aquarius for November 2025:
Who do you show up to work for?
What do you know how to do?
What do you aim to do?

Pisces November 2025 Horoscope

This November, I want you to think about the way that you define talent. Where are the contradictions between what you believe about creative practice and what you think you need to produce in order to deserve more?

This last year, I’ve been thinking a lot about what Lauren Berlant said about the word Great. In a nutshell, she basically said that way too many artists walk around thinking that we need to be Great Artists. A lot of academics think that they need to be Great Thinkers. A lot of people think that they need to be Writer of the Year or Parent of the Year or something to legitimize their work (which often goes unsupported and unrecognized).

Honey—you don’t need to be someone’s idea of Great to deserve tangible things and consistent support. You make art because you just do. You think about things because you have a curious mind and because, now and then, you get the itch to research a subject that you feel would serve a public need. You do these things because you’re someone’s neighbor, because you care about your society, because you have certain skills. And, no amount of Great will erode your need for income and support.

Saturn is going to go direct in your sign this month. Let sweet humility relieve you of the burdens of your ego. It feels good, doesn’t it? To stand up for yourself without needing to be more.

Questions for Pisces for November 2025:
What do you enjoy about art?
What do you need to make it?
What ways of humility help you keep your dignity?

Aries November 2025 Horoscope

In November, I want you to sober up. The more authoritarian a society becomes, the more distractions we face. If you read the news, you’ll find all kinds of pieces about ballrooms and debates and celebrities. There’s that famous Walter Benjamin quote: fascism aestheticizes politics but communism politicizes aesthetics.

I want you to change something in your daily routine, something that really shakes up your expectations around how a day is supposed to go, as a way of helping you sober up about where we are actually at and what our real relations to one another look like. Talk to someone you normally don’t. Talk about something that you usually avoid. Go somewhere you haven’t been.

And then, as you do this, I want you to ask yourself this question: Where in the world is my anger truly needed?

I’m a big proponent of anger. I think that anger helps to keep us alive. I know that anger is primarily a defensive emotion but that just means that it is trying to protect us from something. If you feel anger, then you might be trying to protect something and what you are trying to protect might be important or precious to you. Your rage is not an aesthetic. What are you trying to protect?

Questions for Aries for November 2025:
Where is your anger truly needed?
What is your anger trying to protect you from?
What is the angry you trying to protect?

Taurus November 2025 Horoscope

Honestly, I think that you’re really enjoying your relationships right now. You’re making more friends and you’re sharing more stories. You’re principled about your boundaries and clear about how you communicate. You’re also ready to take the next step on the intimate partnerships that you are in.

What does commitment bring up in you? And what strengthens you as you commit deeper to your people?

I think that equality is made in groups but not in two person type relationships. In two person type relationships, power dynamics must be acknowledged and accounted for. Whenever we deepen a partnership, we must vow that we will continue to resist already existing potentials for domination and submission. We must do this as a way of taking care of each other.

I want you to continue to enjoy your relationships. Enjoy laughter. Enjoy the way your partners show up to their promises. Enjoy your neighbors and the agreements that y’all come to as you become more aware of each other’s limits. Enjoy even the community drama both resolved and unresolved.

Questions for Taurus for November 2025:
What are you ready for in your relationships?
What do you vow to resist together?
What do you vow to take care of together?

Gemini November 2025 Horoscope

Find someone who has a habit of telling you that you’re doing a great job and spend time with that person. You know the type.

Not everyone does this. Usually, you might find the encouraging personality type at a local poetry reading or in a sports team. People who interact frequently with children have good habits about mutual encouragement. Artists sometimes have this but they sometimes don’t. Rarely will you find people who are willing to tell you when you’re doing great in positions of authority.

You need to put yourself in the company of people who notice when you do good and tell you because there’s things that you need to hear about what you do competently. You can tell yourself that you’re doing a great job but it doesn’t quite hit the same way. Like most people, you also need encouragement.

In the meantime and as you make your way over to your encouraging friend or person, I’ll give you some words: you’re doing great. You’re doing your best and your best is good enough for what you’re dealing with right now. You have skills that people need. You produce value using those skills and you have helped more people than you know.

Questions for Gemini for November 2025:
When was the last time someone told you that you’re doing a great job?
What did they say to you?
What did that piece of encouragement help you with?

Cancer November 2025 Horoscope

One thing is clear—you really despise people who are overly concerned with their image right now! That’s because you’re actually reckoning with your own need for recognition. You understand that knowledge is power and you yearn to state your own. If you are a young person, then you seek more education. If you are an older person, then you seek to teach. If you are somewhere in between, then you might seek a bit of both.

I think that the best thing for you to do in November is to be around people who listen to your stories. That’s what learning and teaching is really about. It’s not about being more or less knowledgeable even though our normative culture around education makes us intellectually competitive. It’s about the art of telling stories.

Stories are just like power. If you’re willing to share them, then they exist. You never run out. No one can take your stories away from you and you will figure out how to use them as you go along.

So, tell your stories out of pleasure, out of self interest, and out of love. Do not worry about how they make you look.

Questions for Cancer for November 2025:
What do your stories teach you morally?
What do you help you examine?
What do they tell you about what you believe?

Leo November 2025 Horoscope

I want you to take some time to think about your life in your home. How many roommates have you had and how did those roommates treat you? How did you treat them? Which neighbors have you gotten to know? What did you learn about security and love in this place that you call home?

Truly track your history here in this place where you live. How many years have you spent here and how has your home stabilized you through each of those ages? If you were to give your home a name, what would you call her?

As the Sun approaches Sagittarius and the deep winter arrives, you slow down. As a Leo, you usually make your summer as busy as a bee and you rest come winter. It’s winter now so come home to rest.

Find everything that you appreciate about your home. The beautiful people, the crazy and brilliant people, the funky little plants, the community, the drama—all of it. If you can’t appreciate your home, then you won’t know how to fight for it. Since you’re in the business of fighting for your home, love it a lot.

Questions for Leo for November 2025:
What have you learned to love here in your home?
What have you learned to hate here in your home?
What are you coming home to?

Virgo November 2025 Horoscope

You can think of the upcoming Mercury retrograde as a kind of keystone retrograde. This Mercury retrograde is here to connect all of the pieces of the self examination that you have been doing together. This Mercury retrograde in November, you will ask yourself “What is the most critical part of giving and taking?”

And November will be about home, about making it and sharing it. Home is not really a place or a structure. More of a political agreement or a way of living life. It’s an ecosystem, one that is always changing, or the story that you tell as the world changes.

I encourage you to write a story this November. I want you to write the story of you coming home. I wonder what that even means for you, if it is about a place at all. Maybe you will write a story about a room or a neighbor. Maybe you’ll write your story about the price of your rent. What is the story of you seeking and finding housing and what does that story reveal?

Home is given. It’s received. Sometimes, it is taken and, sometimes, home is simple acceptance. Home is all of the parts of sharing—the good, the sorrowful, and the awkward.

Questions for Virgo for November 2025:
Where does the story of you coming home start?
Where does it go?
And how does it complete (for now)?

Libra November 2025 Horoscope

Starting this November but into next year, you will be examining all kinds of ideas and feelings about how you define practicality.

I think that practicality is such an interesting concept. Too many of us confuse practicality for fear. Too many of us are taught to listen for practicality only in fear when, in fact, practicality exists in many different ways. We grow so accustomed to assuming that our fear will make us more practical that we are often surprised when it doesn’t.

I want you to look around and touch what you can touch: your home, your people, your food, and your tools. I want you to seek the practical in those things that your fingers touch often day to day. Now, curl your fingers around them. What is wieldy for you? What helps you make your life more wieldy to the way that your hands move?

There’s a lot to say about practicality, about routine and about habit. You’re about to go deep on this one for a year, examining the fears and desires that drive the survival skills that you protect with your life. Start with size. Instead of counting blessings, count the tools that you know how to use. Notice how big and small they are.

Questions for Libra for November 2025:
What tools do you use?
Which tools make your life more wieldy for you?
How do you take care of those tools?
