Within your need to control your labor is a fierce desire to belong not just to any place but the place that you reside right now. The place where you are now is the place where you can start to learn how to belong.

Choices, choices—Venus is the planet of the crossroads. This period of time of Venus’s disappearance is a time of mourning. You, too, have had to move to work and upend your entire history to somewhere else. You, too, had to grieve someone else’s sacrifice made for you and the request that they did not make of you.
